Reese Witherspoon began seriously pursuing her acting career shortly after taking a class at Stanford University. Her early success was in films such as Pleasantville, Election and Legally Blonde. It was her performance as Elle Woods in Legally Blonde's box office smash that was the start of her professional career. Witherspoon received the Academy Award, in 2005, for her role as Walk the Line. In the following years, she has appeared in a number of television shows like House of Lies Whitney or Better Call Saul. In addition, she has appeared in films such as The Dictator and The Incredible Burt Wonderstone.
