Arianna Huffington
Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington is a Greek American author syndicated columnist and businesswoman. She founded The Huffington Post and the CEO of Thrive Global. Author of fifteen books. Arianna Huffington is an author, philanthropist, television host, and also the proprietor of The Huffington Post. When she moved into England from Greece when she was 16, she received a MA in Economics at Cambridge University. When she was 21, she became the president of the famed debate society The Cambridge Union' and was the first non-native student to do so. The success of her conservative columnist was consolidated after she completed her studies. With the introduction of The Huffington Post a few months later, she launched an online voice-portal that provided an honest assessment of the current political situation. Her popularity helped her to convince several stars to voice their views about current affairs, as well as politics and culture. Arianna was first noticed when she ran for California's recall election, replacing then Governor Davis. Additionally, she led the Detroit Project to develop fuel efficient cars. Forbes listed her 12th in its list for the Most Popular Media Women. Guardian also included the Huffington Post in their Top 100 list in 2010. AOL Inc. acquired The Huffington Post, and she was named president of the media company. It included a variety of AOL products at that time, including Engadget AOL style list and Patch Media. Elli was born to Konstantinos Stasinopoulos and Elli, who are both journalists and consultants in management. Although she had a close relationship with her father, the relationship she had with her mother shaped the remainder of her life. Through her early years, she exhibited abilities to lead, and for this her name is still well-known. When she was 16, she moved from the United States to the United Kingdom and enrolled Girton College Cambridge. She was a member of Cambridge Union, the Cambridge Union college debate society during her time at college in which she became the third female to be elected the president. In 1972, her Master's in Economics was awarded. After the graduation ceremony, she became a journalist and TV host. Additionally, she starred with Bernard Levin in an episode of Face the music and started writing books using his editing assistance.
