Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington, a Greek American businesswoman and syndicated journalist is an author. She founded The Huffington Post and the chief executive officer of Thrive Global. Author of more than 15 books. Arianna Huffington is a journalist, television personality, philanthropist as well as the founder and publisher of The Huffington Post. Her birthplace was Greece she relocated to England when she was sixteen and then graduated from Cambridge University with an MA in Economics. The first non-English student to graduate, she was elected President of The Cambridge Union' at the age of 21. Her popularity as a conservative journalist was further consolidated when she completed her studies. After the launch of The Huffington Post a few years later, she created an online platform for voice that gave critiques of the political situation. It was possible for her to recruit numerous prominent contributors to post their views regarding politics and culture. Arianna was first noticed in 2003 as she stood in the California recall election replacing then Governor Davis. Alongside this she also led the Detroit Project for fuel-efficient cars. She was named one of the Most influential women in media according to Forbes in 2009 and was awarded 12th position on the list. That same year Guardian included her in the top 100 media list. AOL Inc. acquired The Huffington Post in 2011 and appointed her head of its media division that also includes other AOL products like Engadget AOL Music Style list as well as Patch Media. Elli Stasinopoulos is a daughter of Konstantinos an advisor to management and journalist. Her character was formed by the closeness she had to her mother and her bond with her father, despite her being very close to her father. She displayed leadership qualities throughout her childhood. She moved to England at 16, to pursue her education and was enrolled into Girton College Cambridge. In the years of her university she was a member of Cambridge Union. Cambridge Union debating group where she was elected the first woman and the only president from outside the country. In 1972, her master's in Economics was awarded. Following after graduation she became an editor of the critic's column and a television host. In addition, along with Bernard Levin she appeared on an episode of Face the music.
